The day begins with the sun rising above the landscape with steam cascading from the Earth. One scoop, after another, the Excavator digs away to shape shift the world around him.
The role of an operator is not an easy set of shoes to fill. For Estes and Sons, our operators wake up before the sun, throw on their uniform, and start on their long ride to the jobsite. The drive is the first challenge, as worksites are currently spread from Stone Mountain, Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama.
Many other challenges pose a threat to the productivity of our Excavators- weather, supply chain delays, inspections, plan revisions, etc. Men and women who fill these roles are leaders in our company, and are what help hold up the strong foundation we strive for at Estes & Sons. “Insiders Scoop” is a tribute to these people with the goal of portraying the firsthand experiences that our Excavators and Operators live through on a daily basis.
